November

We want to give an update on our November, now that December has come and gone too! For some reason is seams like our life has been so busy that we haven't had too much time just to sit and relax. I have decorated a couple of weddings in the last month, and that keeps me on my toes, along with my two VERY busy boys.

Every year I beg Todd to put up Christmas lights and he has never done it for me, but this year Weston asked and Todd was on the roof string up Christmas cheer!

One thing we have never done is had professional pictures of our family taken. We finally realized how much we needed them done and bit the bullet. Here are just a few pictures of our family photo shoot.

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Michigan to visit Todd's brother and his family. We had such a fun time! I was really nervous about taking the boys on the plane. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know if Weston would be scared about being up high, or if Holden would even sit still for one minute!! The boys did great on the plane. Weston did fabulous, Holden was a little bit busy, but all in all we had a good plane trip.

Weston had such a good time playing with his cousins Landon and Gage. They went to the Museum, and they rode some rides. The best part about the trip is that we didn't drag the kids all over, we just kind of stayed put. They played trains the whole week, and thought that was great! We really did enjoy our Thanksgiving. Thanks guys for the fun time!

Halloween

Weston inspired our costume this year because he wanted to be captain hook. He loved his mustache, and wouldn't let me wash it off. He wanted me to draw it on every day. We had a fun Halloween. Weston went with Grandma and Grandpa to their trunk or treat the night before, and had a blast. We visited both of our grandparents on Halloween and Weston did a little trick
or treating. He thought it was pretty fun, until someone came out in a mask then he was finished!
Todd is always a good sport to dress up. He is suppose to be Smee (captain hooks right hand man), but he kind of looks like Where's Waldo!

Holden is always wanting to do exactly what Weston is doing!

One last bit of sunshine

Once again, we went along with Todd on another business trip to St. George. The weather was beautiful. It was fun to wear our shorts one last time. Aunt Rona took us to a really fun, new park. Weston loved it. He pretended like it was his pirate ship, and he played for hours.

Weston needed someone to dig in the sand with him. He talked Grandma and Rona into getting dirty and building him a house with furniture in the sand. He even talked Grandma into going down the slide. How come grandkids can do that?

Holden turned "1"

My baby turned one. I can't believe it's already been one year. The time has flown by so quickly. I think it gets quicker with each child. Here are some pictures from his party. He wasn't shy about his cake. He didn't even have to think about what to do with it. With Weston, I don't think we let him touch cake and ice cream before he was one. Holden has had it for a couple of months, so he knew just what to do with it!

We had his cousins over for a party, and he was pretty excited. Weston loved all of his new toys, and won't let Holden play with them.

Holden is always happy, always smiling and giggling. He loves Weston, and can always be found following him around. He loves to wrestle with Weston, and is actually pretty good at it. He loves his daddy, and is so excited the minute he walks in from work. And of course he loves his mommy too! Here are a few pictures of Holden from the past year.

The Fascination With Toilet Paper

I don't know why babies love toilet paper so much. We can't keep Holden away from it. He gets so mad when we take it from his mouth. What's so good about it?
Notice we can't keep Holden away from much these days. We have to put everything out of reach, he wants to suck on everything, including the plunger!

Our Big Helper

We've been having Weston make his own bed. He was pretty proud of this. He said their was only a little blue showing.
The pillows and quilt look pretty good!

We're back!

I'm finally updating our blog. These two busy boys make it hard for me to find time to sit down for even a minute. Here's an update on what we've been doing the last few weeks.

We went on one last crazy camping trip. We started out in the stake camp for a couple of nights, then moved down to Provo to the BYU game and spent a night there. Then we headed to Heber where we spent a very rainy night. We had a fun time. Weston loves to run around free when we are camping. We spent part of the time with cousins, and a couple of fun night alone with Grandma and Grandpa. Thanks Grams and Gramps for putting up with our screaming kids!!

Weston finally had his first day of preschool on Friday. He has been asking "am I going to school today?" for weeks. He's going to Mrs. Kristy's Jelly Bean Jungle. He was a little bit nervous in the morning and I was afraid I was going to have to stay the whole time, but when we got there he walked right in and said, "see ya mom." Weston had a great time! I can't believe he's already big enough to go to school.

Holden is 11 months. The time has flown by. He already has the cutest personality. He is always smiling and giggling. He loves Weston and wants to follow him everywhere. Even when Weston gives him a little whack, he still wants to play with him. Holden has started babbling. Here are a few things that he has started to say besides mama and dada: Mo (more food), bop bop (this is what Weston calls his blanket), bampa (grandpa), boo, ball. He is taking a few steps here and there, he's very close to just taking off. He's such a busy child, I have to put him in his high chair and feed him to get him to hold still for a minute.

Aunt mimi gave him his first haircut so now he really looks like a big boy. (This picture makes him look like he has no hair!)Todd and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary on Friday. We thought we would go out and celebrate by buying a new TV that has a screen that doesn't move. We've had a wonderful 6 years. We have been so blessed. Todd is such a great husband and father, I really lucked out!!
