June

Another month flew past without any blog entries. June seemed soooo crazy for us! Here are just a few of the things that we did last month.

Todd and the boys went to the father and son's outing with Papa. They slept in the tent and ate chicken on a bone! They loved it!

They did a little target practice with the BB gun. The boys talked about it for the rest of the month. It was the best thing ever!Todd was FINALLY released (after 6 years) from being the scout master. (The only drawback is that he is now the young men's president, but he is happy for the change). He still went with the boys to scout camp down to Moab and had a really fun time!Todd and I jumped on the Ragnar bandwagon this year. We had so much fun running all of our legs, we didn't realize we would be sore for a month afterward! We had so much fun we've already committed to next year.

We did a large basket order for Marketstar's employees. These were such fun baskets to make, they turned out really cute! We only had about 3 days to put together 42 baskets. Alisa and I were running around crazily trying to pick stuff up, with all of our kids which always makes for a fun adventure!

Also, we threw a wedding in the mix too. This was a really fun wedding to decorate for. The colors were really bright and summery. We had a such a good time planning this wedding. Here are just a few pictures of the big event!

Our Las Vegas Vacation!

A little over a month ago we went to Las Vegas. We were hoping for warm weather, it was a little bit cool, but not rainy! We took Grandma and Grandpa with us. Todd had to work a convention most of the week, so we found a few fun things to do while he was working. The boys favorite thing that we did was visit the thunderbirds at Nellis Air Force Base. Thanks Grandpa for showing us the airplanes! We stayed in a condo so we were able to hang out the entire time! The kids loved playing Go Fish with Grandma. (I think she lets them win!)We visited Todd's favorite place, Hoover Dam! He thinks it's amazing, and takes us every chance we get. It was kind of cool to see the new bridge, but Holden was the only one brave enough to walk across with him.

The kids liked watching the lions at the MGM Grand. We thought since we'd driven all the way and parked to see the lions that maybe we could just walk a little way down the strip. Big Mistake! It was so gross. I had to ask Weston a couple time just to keep looking straight ahead! We both felt like such looser parents afterwards :(We helped Grandma and Grandpa celebrate their anniversary our last night there. Grandma and Grandpa and I went to the Celine Dion concert! It was so much fun! I love Celine! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting me tag along. The concert was even amazing from the second to last row!!

Swimming Lessons

The boys just completed their first set of swimming lessons. They both did so well. Weston learned how to float on his back and swim with his arms. He was constantly jumping around and dunking himself while he was waiting for his turn. Holden had a really good teacher. She was an older German lady and she really made him work. He was in a preschool class, but he was basically doing the same things as Weston. They both really enjoyed their lessons and can't wait to take one more class before summer begins. I have a feeling we might be spending a little time at the pool this year.

My Valentine's!

I love Valentine's Day! For some reason this year I really got into it. I spent all month making cute Valentine decorations for our house.
My cute Valentine's!
I got a crazy hair and decided to make Valentine shirts for my kids. I stayed up late the night before trying to finish them for the special day. I was a little surprised that Weston and Holden were so excited about them. (Todd thought I was crazy!)
Weston wanted robot Valentines, so I searched everywhere trying to find some. When I finally saw these I knew we had to make them!

Our fun ski trips!

This is Todd's dream come true, to have his family ski with him! Todd and Weston went together on a Saturday morning a couple weeks ago. Weston did really well, and picked up right where he left off last year.Holden wanted to go sooo bad! So the next Saturday we all went up together. Weston and I skied together while Todd was teaching Holden. I had to keep telling Weston to slow down! Holden Did a great job too! We didn't plan too well and we went during nap time so Holden did cry a bit and it was blowing really bad, but he still loved it and picked it right up.

Weston thought this was a great way to end the day!
